Gutturnio Superiore DOC La Barbona: a red still wine with a strong taste
Gutturnio Superiore DOC still red wine “La Barbona” harvest 2017.
After pressing, this wine macerates for 14 days.
Fermentation takes place with selected yeasts, at a temperature of 28-30 ° C. The wine is then placed in barrique for 14 months.
The result is a wine with an intense ruby red color, with a ripe scent of fruit and leather, with an authoritative flavor, rich in fruit.
The alcoholic power of this wine is well integrated in the finish, with notes of wood and licorice.
The Gutturnio DOC of Piacenza hills “La Barbona” pairs perfectly with red meats and aged cheeses, such as the typical Grana Padano cheese, produced in Piacenza.
