Raisin wine italian Passito Duemiladiciotto: meditation sweet wine
The raisin wine or italian “Passito” wine is produced from Malvasia di Candia Aromatica grapes: a white grape variety, probably of Greek origin and widespread above all on the hills of Piacenza.
The grapes are harvested later than the other varieteis, strictly by hand and the passito wine is then aged in small oak barrels for 12 months.
Produced from the 2018 harvest.
Passito wines (or straw wines) are wines obtained from grapes subjected to dehydration processes, which can occur naturally (directly on the plant) or forced (after harvesting the grapes are exposed to the sun). In the case of Cantine Romagnoli’s passito, the grapes are harvested late, thus leaving the grapes on the vine for a longer period of time.
Passito wine is an ideal wine for dessert, or as a meditation wine.
Romagnoli Wineries started from the dreams of a visionary entrepreneur, who believed in the production of sparkling wines with the classic method in the Piacenza area, which has always been linked to traditions and simple wines.
