A few kilometers away from Piacenza there is a farm that despite carrying out all the work in an artisanal way, is in step with the times. We are talking about the Erbucchio di Santimento farm, which grows 70 species of vegetables, cereals and an orchard where there are 20 varieties of plants. To these are also added experiments concerning legumes. The cultivation system adopted is the S.O.S., which is an Organic and Wild Synergistic Garden, which highlights how Erbucchio’s primary objective is organic and therefore sustainable agriculture.
Erbucchio’s activity also has a social function as some of the crops are carried out by employing people with disabilities and young people with social difficulties, thus configuring it as a real social farm.
Products
The production of Erbucchio is Biodiversity Friend, which means that the company’s commitment to the protection and increase of biodiversity along the entire production chain is certified. On the colored labels of the products there are also symbols that indicate which of them are sugar-free, suitable for children or without ingredients of animal origin so that each consumer can choose the products that best suit their needs.
The world of products that you can find at Erbucchio is really heterogeneous: from organic compotes to desserts passing through appetizers and cooking bases.
On our site you can find these Erbucchio specialties:
The winning couple for your appetizer: Delight of vegetables in oil and aromatic Quadrotti.
Delight of Vegetables in oil is a seasonal pickle with vegetables blanched in sweet and sour and preserved in extra virgin olive oil to which wild herbs are added, all exclusively with seasonal products.
Aromatic Quadrotti are small savory sheets of semi-wholemeal shortcrust pastry enriched with five different types of seeds (pumpkin, flax, sunflower, sesame, poppy) and aromatic herbs.
Chutney
Chutney is a side dish of Indian origin to give flavor to the foods to which it is accompanied. It can be made in many variations, in particular we offer you the pear chutney and the Bertina pumpkin chutney.
Pear chutney has a spicy sweet and sour taste, recommended in combination with medium-aged cheeses or mixed in equal parts with extra virgin olive oil for an exotic flavor pinzimonio.
Bertina pumpkin chutney, with a savory sweet and sour taste with peeled tomatoes and onions that we recommend in combination with pecorino and seasoned mountain cheeses.
You can also find garlic cream made from Piacenza garlic, extra virgin olive oil and salt. Excellent as a base for bruschetta, to flavor meat and vegetables or as a base in the kitchen.
Biscuits
Erbucchio also offers you different types of “sweet and greedy” biscuits, made and packaged exclusively by hand in small quantities to guarantee a very fresh product, as if it were just baked.
Wholemeal shortcrust biscuits are made with Verna variety soft wheat flour, simple and crunchy for a light and sweet break.
Wholemeal spelled biscuits with chocolate and hazelnuts are made with wholemeal Einkorn spelled flour (directly produced by Erbucchio), dark chocolate, milk and rum, excellent for dipping in coffee.
Fragrant and aromatic lavender flower biscuits recommended for a tasty snack.
Now that you have known the delights of Erbucchio you just have to order them and receive them directly at home. You will be able to indulge yourself by using them for your culinary creations!
