Red wine IGT Emilia CECCO: born and raised in Piacenza
Cecco and Mami, new additions to the Poggiarello brand, are a small revolution.
Cecco was born and raised in Piacenza: however far into the future we look, we can’t help but remember where we come from. Cecco represents the simplicity and authenticity of the people of Piacenza.
From the prized Barbera, Croatina and Cabernet grapes comes the red wine IGT Emilia Cecco.
The grapes for this wine are harvested by hand. Subsequently, a part of the grapes is harvested late, in order to have a high percentage of sugar.
The grapes are pressed and then refined in barriques. At the end of the ageing process, the perfect combination is obtained.
Bright and lively ruby red in colour, it has notes of red fruits and hints of wood on the nose. On the palate, the wine is agile and fresh, ensuring a pleasant drink and the right length of taste.
This wine should be served at room temperature (14-16 degrees) and goes perfectly with elaborate first courses, with meat or mushroom sauces. It is also perfect with meat dishes and mature cheeses.
