Italian salami: Il Gentiletto made in Italy, Piacenza
The Salame Gentiletto is the younger brother of Salami Gentile (Salam Gentil) which is a traditional italian salami made in Piacenza that meets the requirements established by a specific production specification.
It is promoted by the Consortium of Typical Piacenza Salami.
The traditional Italian agri-food products (PAT) are included in a special list, prepared by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.
The meat used for the Gentiletto salami comes from fresh national pork.
With a bright red and pink color in the lean parts and white in the mixed parts, it has a compact consistency, a sweet and savory flavor of seasoned meat, hints of pepper and an intense and spicy aroma.
Gentiletto salami is perfect enjoyed on a slice of bread, after removing the skin.
